SUMMARY/Primary Function
We're looking for a hands-on, motivated individual to join our team as a Field Service Technician. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with their hands, solving problems, and learning new skills.
In this role, you'll be trained on how to maintain and service backup power systems (UPS equipment) at customer sites. No deep UPS experience? No problem-we provide training.
Principle Job Duties
  • Assist with preventative maintenance (PMs) on UPS systems (both minor and major services)
  • Help inspect, test, and troubleshoot equipment
  • Support repairs such as battery replacements, fans, and capacitors
  • Learn how to read basic diagrams and schematics
  • Complete service reports accurately after each job
  • Help with equipment start-ups, installations, and project work
  • Work directly with customers and represent QPS in a professional way
  • Occasionally travel overnight or work outside normal hours when needed

Knowledge, Skillset & Abilities
  • Mechanical or electrical interest (schooling or hands-on experience is a plus, but not required)
  • Willingness to learn and take direction
  • Good communication skills and a positive attitude
  • Ability to stay organized and handle multiple tasks
  • Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel
  • Basic computer skills
