Job Summary
Supports the onsite program by performing manual labor associated with drum movements within the facility, drum bulking, drum crushing, providing assistance during peak periods, and fulfilling other assigned duties. This is an entry-level, non-supervisory position primarily focused on hazardous and non-hazardous waste-related projects.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Identify best practices to help customers reduce waste volumes, enhance operational efficiencies, optimize equipment usage, and achieve cost savings.
Segregate, label, mark, and package waste materials in compliance with safety regulations.
Collect, pour, transfer, consolidate, repackage, and package solid, liquid, and sludge materials.
Engage in labor-intensive activities such as container or drum collection, drum bulking, sorting recyclables from trash, and loading trucks.
Transfer waste into containers of varying sizes.
Provide labor support at the 90-Day Hazardous Waste Pad, when required.
Offer support or guidance to less experienced Technicians.
Wear necessary personal protective equipment.
Participate in safety processes by adhering to written procedures, attending mandatory training sessions, and scheduled meetings.
Promptly report any unsafe conditions, incidents, injuries, or property damage to the supervisor.
Adhere to Environmental and Quality Management System policies, procedures, and operational controls relevant to job responsibilities.
Maintain compliance with applicable environmental, safety, and transportation regulations (EPA, OSHA, DOT).
Qualifications
The following requirements represent the qualifications necessary to perform the job.
Education and Experience:
Required: High school diploma or G.E.D
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations, or Other Requirements:
Preferred: RCRA, TSCA, OSHA (HAZWOPER), & DOT training.
Other Knowledge, Skills, or Abilities Required:
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team.
