Entry-Level Electrician
Automation Personnel Services is looking for entry-level Electricians for a company in LaVergne, TN that designs and builds custom control systems. The entry-level electrician assists with panel assembly, wiring, and electrical installation support while learning industry-specific skills through on-the-job training. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with their hands, has a natural mechanical or electrical aptitude, and wants to build a career in industrial electrical systems.

Pay Rate  
$25.00 - $30.00 per hour depending on experience

Schedule and Hours 
Monday – Friday
7AM – 3:30PM 
 
Entry-Level Electrician Duties and Responsibilities: 
  • Assist with panel assembly and wiring according to schematics and work instructions
  • Install labels and identification tags on panels and components
  • Learn to read and interpret electrical schematics and drawings
  • Assist with equipment startup, testing, and I/O checkout as needed
  • Follow electrical safety procedures and company standards
 
Entry-Level Electrician Qualifications and Requirements: 
  • Basic understanding of electrical concepts or a strong desire to learn
  • Mechanical aptitude and comfort using hand and power tools
  • Ability to read drawings, diagrams, and follow detailed instructions
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • Criminal background check required 
 
Preferred Experience - The ideal candidate may have gained hands-on electrical or mechanical experience through:
  • Working on cars, motorcycles, ATVs, or other vehicles
  • Repairing appliances, equipment, or electronics
  • Home improvement, construction, or DIY projects
  • Manufacturing, maintenance, assembly, or fabrication work
  • Technical hobbies involving wiring, motors, controls, or troubleshooting
