Job description

Position Overview
Nathan & Nathan PC is a family-owned law firm specializing in creditors' rights. We are in search of an attorney to join our team who brings a positive attitude and is self-motivated.
Responsibilities
  • Communicate effectively and appropriately with both internal and external partners, via verbal and written forms of communication.
  • Intake and substantiation of new claims received from clients.
  • Drafting, Reviewing, and signing pleadings and correspondence
  • Participate in developing the strategy, etc., to prepare for the presentation of cases.
  • Research and interpret laws, regulations, procedures, etc.
  • Maintain compliance with the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA) and other applicable regulations.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients and act on behalf of the client's best interest at all stages of the legal process.
  • Analyze and process data, as assigned by the Client Litigation Manager or Managing Attorney, to make certain that workflow is being followed in accordance with federal and state laws and regulations, client policy and procedures, and firm standard operating procedures.
  • Other duties as required.

Requirements
  • Alabama Bar licensure (other state bars are welcomed(MS/GA/TN) in good standing is required.
  • Experience with high volume case load is extremely helpful but we provide a supportive training environment if applicant does not have such experience.
  • Fluency in Excel, Microsoft Office and overall computer use is necessary.
  • Ability to pivot and accomplish multiple tasks during the work day is necessary.
  • Must be able to work minimum 40 hours per week-Monday through Friday.
  • No billable hour requirement.

Location
  • Birmingham, AL
  • Travel will be required for court appearances.
