This may involve helping prepare taxes, overseeing an audit, handling bookkeeping and journal entries, or creating financial statements on a predetermined schedule. CPAs can also provide consulting services, so may need to juggle time spent talking with others with time spent processing statements. Many entry-level CPAs work as part of a larger accounting team because employers who only have a single accountant on staff prefer experienced applicants.
