Job description

As a Controls / Automation Engineer, you will be working across industries to provide outstanding Operational Technology related programs, interfaces, documentation and support. You could be working on assembly lines, well heads, datacenters, beverage facilities, and providing managed SCADA services - all in the same week. Our team is expected to learn and to grow to be proficient across multiple skillsets while becoming an expert in 2-3 key disciplines. The role will require excellence as an individual contributor as well as working as part of a larger team.

  • RTU / PLC Programming - Ladder Logic, Sequential Function Blocks, Structured Text

Work is completed in hybrid work environments, in office with the team, occasionally from home, and in the field for commissioning or ongoing support as needed. Target travel expectation for the year is 20%. Employees may elect to be on a travel team with higher travel requirements and receive additional compensation.

Requirements

At all levels:

  • Bachelors Degree in Engineering
  • Drug Free work environment
  • Valid Driver's license and ability to travel without restrictions
  • Familiarity with 61131-3 Programming
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent problem solving, analytical and detail-oriented mindset
  • Ability to work with cross-functional and discipline teams effectively

Above entry level, the following requirements are expected in line with engineering level:

  • Rockwell, Siemens, Schneider, Red Lion, Opto22, Ignition, VT SCADA, Phoenix Contact, Emerson, and other platform experience
  • Advanced Process Control Expertise
  • Discrete Automation and Robotic Controls
  • Expertise with P&IDs, Control Narratives, Cause and Effects, SIS
  • Electrical Engineering
  • UL, IEC, NIST, CSA and other industrial standards
