Job description

We are seeking a motivated Entry-Level Field Integrity Engineer to support our Infrastructure Integrity Team. This role involves field inspections, corrosion control activities, integrity assessments, engineering support, and data collection for pipelines, facilities, tanks, piping systems, and related structural and infrastructure assets. The ideal candidate is safety-focused, mechanically inclined, and interested in developing hands-on experience in asset integrity, corrosion engineering, coatings, cathodic protection, inspection technologies, and infrastructure assessment. This position provides a strong foundation for long-term career growth within the integrity and corrosion engineering industry.
Job Duties
  • Assist with integrity assessments of pipelines, tanks, piping systems, facilities, and related infrastructure assets
  • Support corrosion control and cathodic protection (CP) programs
  • Perform field inspections and collect integrity-related data
  • Coordinate and observe non-destructive testing (NDT) activities
  • Assist with and perform NDT inspections when trained and qualified
  • Assist with coating inspections and corrosion evaluations
  • Support asset integrity and mechanical integrity programs
  • Review inspection reports, drawings, GIS data, and engineering documentation
  • Assist in identifying integrity threats, degradation mechanisms, and repair priorities
  • Prepare field reports, engineering summaries, and inspection documentation
  • Support regulatory compliance and applicable industry standards
  • Work closely with operations, maintenance, inspection, and engineering personnel
  • Travel to field locations and project sites as required
  • Ensure all work is performed in accordance with company safety procedures and standards

Requirements
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in: Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering , Materials Engineering, Corrosion Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Engineering Technology, or related technical discipline
  • Strong interest in asset integrity, corrosion, coatings, inspection, or infrastructure engineering
  • Ability and willingness to perform field work in industrial environments
  • Ability to travel to project and client sites as required
  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Valid driver's license

Preferred Qualifications
  • Internship, co-op, or field experience in industrial, utility, energy, or infrastructure environments preferred
  • Familiarity with: Corrosion mechanisms, Protective coatings and linings, Cathodic protection, NDT methods, Integrity management concepts
  • Interest in developing a career in corrosion, coatings, cathodic protection, or infrastructure integrity
  • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification
  • EIT/FE certification preferred
  • Experience with Excel, GIS, AutoCAD, Bluebeam, or inspection management software
  • Prior industry experience is preferred but not required. Training and mentorship will be provided for motivated candidates interested in developing a career in integrity, corrosion, coatings, and cathodic protection.
