WKRC is looking for a creative, forward-thinking News Producer who wants to help redefine what a local newscast can be.
If you're passionate about storytelling, love trying new approaches, and aren't satisfied with simply filling a rundown, we want to hear from you. We're looking for someone who can craft engaging, memorable content across platforms and bring fresh ideas to every newscast.
In this role, you'll collaborate closely with managers, anchors, and directors to create compelling, dynamic newscasts that connect with viewers.
The ideal candidate is a strong writer, a creative thinker, and a producer who isn't afraid to challenge the status quo. Whether it's reimagining reporter presentations, creating more conversational storytelling, leveraging great video and sound, or developing content that stands out on digital platforms, you'll play a key role in helping us deliver news in a way that's fresh, relevant, and impactful.

The ideal candidate will have:
  • Solid news judgment
  • Be a compelling and accurate writer

Experience:
  • Must have at least some previous news producing experience at a commercial TV station, although the right entry-level candidate may be considered
  • A journalism degree is preferred
