GURSTEL LAW FIRM, P.C. โ€“ Staff Accountant


JOB SUMMARY as a Staff Accountant, you will apply principals of accounting and you will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks including but not limited to:

  • Prepare, analyze, review, and send required clients reports.
  • Maintain client accounts by verifying proper funds have been pushed and pulled.
  • Monitor review accounting and related system reports for accuracy and completeness.
  • Resolve accounting discrepancies.
  • Application of consumer payments
  • Supervise the input and handling of financial data and reports for the companyโ€™s automated financial systems.
  • Research, review, apply, all incoming checks promptly and accurately.
  • Always inform management of any issues, concerns, developments, updates, discrepancies, questions, etc.
  • Responsible for maintaining checks with unresolved issues and reporting these issues to the appropriate individual.
  • Work includes the exercise of discretion and independent judgment with respect to matters of significance.
  • Other Duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

  • Must be able to work both independently and in a team environment.
  • Bachelorโ€™s degree
  • Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Verbal and written communication skills a must.
  • Experience with basic office hardware a must; scanners, fax machine, copiers, etc.
  • 50+ words-per-minute typing.
  • Attention to detail and ability to multi-task is required.
  • Must be a quick learner with good written and problem-solving skills.
  • A dependable work ethic and commitment to providing quality service is an absolute.
  • Pass pre-employment drug screening, credit check, and background check
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule
