Job Description
This entry-level position will give an eager, generalist candidate the opportunity to be responsible for all aspects of application lifecycle, including design, development, and maintenance of custom applications, both internal (company-facing) and external (customer-facing). These applications will range from ASP.NET web development, with a focus on SharePoint integration via custom web parts, to HTML5 and JavaScript targeting mobile platforms, to rich .NET Windows applications.
Candidate will receive additional training as needed and benefit from mentorship opportunities with more experienced employees
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Gather requirements from analysts or end-users for new application requirements from the business
• Design and architect n-tier applications based on these business requirements
• Security design and implementation utilizing Active Directory
• Database design and architecture utilizing Microsoft SQL server
• Data- and application-layer design and implementation utilizing Linq, entity framework and WCF
• Front-end design and implementation utilizing HTML/CSS/JavaScript, ASP.NET, WPF, and others
• Design and develop web services as part of an existing enterprise web service infrastructure to interface with various business systems, such as the central ERP
• Design and develop custom InfoPath forms with integrated SharePoint workflow
• Implement unit and system level tests for ongoing and regression testing
• Maintain existing applications, addressing new requirements or bugs as they are reported
• Investigate and resolve escalated application issues
Qualifications
MUST-HAVES
Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience (2+ years web development)
At least 3 years of experience working with C# .NET
Experience with HTML5, CSS, and JavaScript
Strong competency in Microsoft Visual Studio, Web Application design
Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.
