Design Southeast Michigan's Future From a Pretty Cool Office
MSG is growing, and we're looking for a motivated Civil Design Engineer with 0-2 years of experience and solid Autodesk Civil 3D skills to join our Detroit, MI office - which, fair warning, has serious industrial character. You'll support engineers and project managers in producing civil/site design plans, reports, and calculations for municipal infrastructure and private development projects across the region - real technical work that builds real skills, not busywork.
And we back that growth with more than a cool office: this role comes with a guaranteed seat in Blueprint, our new early career leadership program for engineers looking to grow beyond the typical entry-level experience. Over six months, you'll take part in a hands-on curriculum covering professional development, business acumen, and project delivery - including case studies, simulations, and role-play exercises - covering topics like project economics, communication, and leadership fundamentals. Develop design drawings and plans using Autodesk Civil 3D, including:
  • Site grading
  • Alignments and profiles
  • Surfaces and corridors

  • Storm sewer and sanitary sewer networks
Prepare components of engineering packages such as:
  • Construction drawings
  • Quantities and cost estimates
  • Drainage calculations and reports
