Help Wanted: Swimming Pool Builders

South Shore Gunite Pools & Spas (SSG Pools)
Northeast | Year-Round Work | Best Pay in the Industry
SSG Pools is hiring experienced swimming pool builders and entry-level construction workers to join one of the largest and most respected pool construction companies in the Northeast.
The swimming pool construction industry is anything but boring. We build some of the largest and highest-end residential and commercial swimming pools in the region, and we self-perform all work, which means real opportunities to learn, advance, and build a long-term career.
Despite the common misconception, we do not shut down in the winter. Our operation runs year-round. While some phases slow, others ramp up. For example, during the week of January 12, 2026, we had:
  • 50+ full-time field employees working across multiple trades
  • Crews in site work, plumbing, gunite/shotcrete, concrete, tile, service, and trucking
  • 6 full-time mechanics
  • 40+ office staff
…and we could have kept more people busy.
If you enjoy construction and want stability, growth, and top-tier pay, SSG Pools is a great place to build a career.
Open Positions Include:
  • Heavy Equipment Operators (excavators & loaders).
  • Rebar Installers / Steel Tiers.
  • PVC Plumbers (2”–14” Schedule 40 & 80, from pipe runs to complex mechanical rooms).
  • Commercial Pool Builders.
  • Masonry, Coping & Tile Setters.
  • Shotcrete / Gunite Crew Members, Finishers & Nozzlemen.
  • .Class A & Class B Truck Drivers
    • Drive full-time or split time between driving and hands-on work (50/50 truck carpenter/concrete roles).
  • Demolition Crew Members.
  • Hardscape & Flatwork Installers.
  • Plasterers.
  • Technical Positions (training provided):
    • VFD programming.
    • Automatic pool cover installation.
    • Pool automation systems.
Experienced Tradespeople Encouraged to Apply:
Are you currently working in HVAC or plumbing and looking for a change? Come talk to us.
  • Work outdoors or on new construction—not in basements and attics.
  • Pumps up to 50 HP with variable frequency drives (VFDs).
  • Advanced automation systems.
  • Existing licenses are respected but not required due to closed-loop systems.
Why Work at SSG Pools?
  • Best pay in the industry.
  • Full-time, year-round employment.
  • Opportunities for advancement and cross-training.
  • Large, professional, and well-equipped operation.
  • Work on high-end, complex projects—not cookie-cutter jobs.
