B&B Contracting is accepting applications for dedicated Entry-Level and Skilled Labourers to join our growing company. B&B is a union-affiliated employer that puts a strong emphasis on safety and offers highly competitive compensation and benefits. Labourers earn a wage of $25-$40 per hour depending on skillset and experience.

KEYRESPONSIBILITIES


  • Carry/distribute materials and tools as needed throughout the jobsite
  • Dig and fill trenches in coordination with excavator operator using shovels and pickaxes
  • Measure and layout work areas in order to set desired grade elevations
  • Compact ground surfaces using soil compaction equipment
  • Level and grade ground surfaces using brooms and lute rakes
  • Maintain a clean and organized jobsite to reduce and prevent safety hazards


QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS


  • Possess a minimum of 1-2 years' prior work experience (prior experience in civil works and hydro/telephone/cable ducting is considered an asset)
  • Able to perform physically demanding tasksand have a strong work ethic
  • Possess the ability to pay close attention to detail
  • Work harmoniously within a team environment
  • Possess active listening skills
  • Be fluent in spoken and written English
  • Have access to own reliable transportation, and be willing to travel tovarious work sites in the Fraser Valley and Metro Vancouver
