Job description

SITECH Chesapeake, a wholly owned subsidiary of Carter Machinery Company, Inc., is hiring a Construction Technology Support Analyst in Annapolis Junction, Maryland. SITECH is the authorized dealer for Trimble Heavy and Civil construction products and services, as well as Accugrade grade control products, with a territory that covers the pan handle of West Virginia, Virginia, the District of Columbia, and the shores of Delaware. The Construction Technology Support Analyst is responsible for delivering first-call-resolution to diagnose and troubleshoot machine control systems and site positioning technology used in heavy civil construction. The individual in this position focuses on quickly diagnosing and resolving common technical issues via phone, email, and remote applications to minimize customer equipment downtime.
Seeking candidates in this entry-level role, with previous experience in technical support, construction technology, or related field, preferred; Survey and construction technology experience using all major site positioning and machine control systems, preferred; Civil engineering experience a plus; Any manufacturer training or certification in machine control or site positioning technology.
Requirements for the Construction Technology Support Analyst position include:
  • Basic understanding of GNSS principles, machine control systems, and site positioning technology.
  • Must be able to read and interpret common construction data formats.
  • Must be able to think quickly to handle customer situations to produce immediate results.
  • Must have strong mechanical aptitude and skills.

Physical requirements must be met for the Construction Technology Support Analyst role including regularly being required to sit and talk or hear. Starting Compensation Range: $27.13 - $34.10 per hour
Actual base pay may vary based on factors such as experience, skills, qualifications, education, geographic location, and other business needs.
