Job description

Job Summary -

We are seeking a reliable and safety-focused CDL Driver to transport materials, equipment, and supplies to and from job sites and yards. This role plays a critical part in supporting construction operations by ensuring timely and secure deliveries. The ideal candidate has a valid CDL license, a clean driving record, and experience operating commercial vehicles in construction or similar environments.

Key Responsibilities -

  • Safely operate commercial vehicles (e.g., dump truck, flatbed, lowboy, or trailer) to transport materials and equipment
  • Load and unload trucks using proper methods to prevent shifting, damage, or injury
  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and DOT compliance
  • Maintain accurate delivery logs, mileage reports, and trip documentation
  • Follow delivery schedules, GPS directions, and instructions from dispatch or supervisors
  • Secure loads using chains, binders, tarps, or straps as needed
  • Comply with all DOT, state, and federal transportation regulations
  • Assist crews with labor or site tasks when deliveries are complete (as needed)
  • Report any mechanical issues, delays, or safety concerns promptly
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of assigned vehicle
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Qualifications -

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.   • Valid Class A or B CDL (depending on vehicle type)
  • Clean driving record and current DOT medical card
  • 2+ years of commercial driving experience preferred
  • Experience hauling construction materials or equipment is a plus
  • Familiarity with load securement, tie-down procedures, and safe operating practices
  • Ability to lift 50+ lbs and assist with loading/unloading when required
  • Strong communication and time management skills
  • Ability to work long hours, including weekends and evenings, as needed
