POSITION SUMMARY

The Yard Laborer 1 is an entry level position, responsible for supporting a safe environment and workplace, prepping/staging tools, equipment for delivery, tracking and supporting delivery processes, managing & organizing inventories, identifying tools and equipment requiring repairs and providing top level customer service for our field construction teams


KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  • Supports the overall yard operation (building project orders, inventory management, loading and unloading delivery trucks, tool inspections, yard maintenance, and equipment management).
  • Operates fork truck to load and unload semi-trailers.
  • Makes sure orders are staged/stored in the correct area and check out process is completed.
  • Inventories all returning items from jobsites.
  • Provides assistance to other yard operations when requested.


REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

  • High School Diploma required.
  • Must be able to operate lift trucks.  Training provided.
  • Must be able to lift 50lbs. and work outside.
  • Work experience in the construction trades and/or knowledge of small equipment and construction tools including capabilities and applications of tools and small equipment preferred.
  • Travel for project assignments may be required based on Company needs.
