Job description

Data Center Conveyance / Infrastructure Technician (Entry-Level Friendly)

Position Summary

The Conveyance / Infrastructure Technician supports the installation and maintenance of cable pathway systems within a data center. This role focuses on building the physical infrastructure (cable trays, ladder racks, and fiber raceways) that supports network and fiber installations.

This is a hands-on, physical role ideal for candidates with construction, warehouse, general labor, ect experience who are interested in building a career in the data center or low-voltage industry. Training will be provided for the right candidate.


Key Responsibilities

Pathway / Conveyance Installation (Primary Focus)

  • Install cable trays, ladder racks, basket tray, and overhead fiber raceways
  • Assist with layout and build-out of pathway systems based on drawings and supervisor direction
  • Secure and support pathway systems to meet basic build standards
  • Help expand or modify existing pathways as projects grow

Cable Routing Support

  • Assist with routing fiber and copper cabling through overhead pathways
  • Help with cable organization, bundling, and dressing
  • Maintain clean and organized pathways to support airflow and serviceability

General Labor & Site Support

  • Work on ladders and lifts to support overhead builds
  • Transport materials, tools, and hardware across the job site
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment

Safety & Quality

  • Follow all job site safety requirements and PPE standards
  • Learn and apply data center installation best practices
  • Take direction from leads and follow established build procedures

Required Qualifications (Flexible / Entry-Level)
  • 0–2 years of experience in construction, warehouse, landscaping, moving, or other physical labor roles
  • Comfortable working with hands, tools, and in active job site environments
  • Ability to work at heights (ladders/lifts) and perform overhead work
  • Reliable, punctual, and willing to learn a new trade
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work on your feet throughout the shift

Preferred (Nice-to-Have, Not Required)
  • Any experience with cabling, electrical, or low-voltage work
  • Basic understanding of tools, construction practices, or blueprint reading
  • OSHA 10 or similar safety training
