Job description

This is an opportunity to join a well-established commercial/residential roofing, siding, window, and sheet metal contractor that is located in Chicago’s Northwest suburbs.

Entry Level

Core duties include:

  • Prepare and manage AutoCAD shop drawings and construction details in accordance with project specifications and manufacturer requirements
  • Collaborate with Project Managers to develop field solutions that meet manufacturer standards and maintain design intent when unexpected conditions arise
  • Verify that all field installations conform to approved shop drawings
  • Review and process incoming bid invitations and project documents received via email
  • Prepare clear, concise scopes of work for each bid opportunity and distribute to the assigned Project Manager for review
  • Establish and maintain organized project folders for all active and incoming projects
  • Print and distribute project drawings and ensure all team members are working from the most current document revisions
  • Monitor and download plan updates and addenda as they are issued to keep project files current

 QUALIFICATIONS

-Proficiency with windows based operating system and Microsoft Office.

-Strong communication skills: verbal and written.

PREFERRED BUT NOT REQUIRED

-Familiarity w/ architectural drawings

-AutoCad knowledge
