Job description

Job Title: Transportation Associate
Location: Springdale, AR 72762
Duration: 3 Months (Possible Extension)
Shift: Flexible schedule; exact hours will be discussed during the interview. Candidates must be available all 7 days to be considered.


Position Summary:

This is an entry-level management role designed to train and prepare individuals for success in fleet operations. The associate will work closely with experienced supervisors to gain hands-on knowledge across various transportation departments.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in daily dispatch operations including coordinating drivers, covering unassigned loads, and ensuring on-time deliveries

  • Monitor driver safety and handle issues that arise outside normal business hours

  • Rotate through key transportation functions (load planning, shuttle, and regional operations) to understand the full scope of operations

  • Serve as dispatcher on weekends and during day/night shifts as needed

  • Support special projects and tasks assigned by leadership


Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent work experience

  • Experience: Minimum 6 months of long-haul dispatch experience

  • Knowledge: Familiarity with DOT regulations is a plus

  • Skills:

    • Basic computer proficiency (Excel, Word, Email)

    • Strong verbal and written communication

    • Self-motivated, eager to learn, and capable of leading others

    • Flexible availability, including weekends and variable shifts
