About the position: As a Materials Medical Handler Aide Part-Time, you will be performing a variety of duties to assist the Materials Management team such as filing slides, fulfilling internal requests, preparing supplies, assembling kits and components, and keeping your area clean and organized. Other duties as assigned.

What you'll do:

  • Pull and/or refile slides, paraffin blocks, and frozen blocks as needed
  • Archiving slides as needed
  • Filing immunofluorescence and muscle/nerve slides
  • Pulling slide carts on Saturday mornings
  • Sorting IF from Light slides on Saturdays and heating for Monday filing
  • Prepare kit supplies
  • Quality control Chemical Bottles
  • Prepare Chemical Packs and Buccal Swabs for Kits
  • Prepare Saline Bottles for Muscle/Nerve Kits
  • Build Stock of New Kits for Daily Use
  • Recycle kits daily for use in outgoing kits.
  • Build shipping boxes and label in accordance with correct kits, lot & expiration dates.
  • Log time spent in each area
  • Clean and organize workspace at the end of each day
  • Perform day-to-day administrative tasks as assigned
Regular Driver:

Additional Information: This position requires driving regularly as part of the job responsibilities either using a company, personal, or rental vehicle. Employees must maintain a valid driver's license and adhere to Arkana's Vehicle Operations Policy. Driving records will be monitored and any policy violations may result in disciplinary action. Motor Vehicle Records (MVRs) will be checked before hire, periodically during employment, and as needed.

You should have:

Education: High School Diploma or GED

Experience: None Required – Entry Level

Computer Skills: Basic Excel, Outlook

Schedule: Tuesday-Saturday 7:30a-12:30p. The first month of training will be Tuesday-Friday (20 hours)
