POSITION SUMMARY:

The Industrial / CNC Maintenance Technician I is responsible for assisting in the maintenance, repair, and preventive maintenance of CNC machine tools, manufacturing equipment, and facility systems. Working under the guidance of experienced maintenance technicians, this position develops the technical skills necessary to troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems while supporting safe, reliable, and efficient manufacturing operations.

This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with technical training or early career experience who are eager to build a career in industrial maintenance within a precision manufacturing environment.


ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on CNC machines and production equipment.
  • Assist with troubleshooting and repairing mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
  • Replace worn or damaged machine components including belts, bearings, sensors, switches, hoses, fittings, and lubricants.
  • Perform machine cleaning, lubrication, inspection, and adjustment activities.
  • Assist with diagnosing equipment failures using maintenance manuals, schematics, and diagnostic tools.
  • Support emergency equipment repairs to minimize production downtime.
  • Assist with machine installations, moves, and equipment upgrades.
  • Maintain facility systems including compressed air, cooling systems, lighting, and general building maintenance as assigned.
  • Accurately document maintenance activities in the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).
  • Maintain maintenance tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean and organized condition.
  • Follow all Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), machine guarding, OSHA, and company safety requirements.
  • Work closely with production personnel to identify equipment concerns.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and equipment reliability projects.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


Requirements:

SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Mechanical aptitude and an interest in industrial equipment.
  • Basic understanding of mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Ability to safely use common hand and power tools.
  • Ability to read basic mechanical drawings and equipment manuals.

  • 0–2 years of industrial maintenance, manufacturing, mechanical, or electrical experience.
  • Internship, apprenticeship, military technical experience, or maintenance experience is considered a plus.
  • Valid driver's license.
