Sacramento Area Sewer District (SacSewer) is currently accepting applications for a Senior Information Technology Business Systems Analystposition. Applications will be screened after the following filing deadlines at 5PM:

The Senior Information Technology Business Systems Analyst is the lead level class in the Information Technology (IT) Business Systems Analyst series. Incumbents in this class serve as a technical and/or functional lead over a team of technical professional staff or a project requiring the direction of multiple staff and procurement/utilization of significant resources, and provides strategic input within his/her area of specialization, sets work standards for testing and implementation, ensures adherence to established practices, and provides technical expertise and guidance to professional technical staff while performing similar duties as staff being led.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Either: 1. A bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited college or university in any accredited field.
AND
Two (2) years full-time paid technical and/or professional experience in the fields of business systems analysis, applications development/implementation, programming, or database administration/analysis.
OR: 2. Six (6) years full-time paid technical and/or professional experience in the fields of business systems analysis, applications development/implementation, programming, or database administration/analysis.
Note: Technical and/or professional experience that demonstrates the ability to perform duties above the required three (3) years of full-time paid experience in the fields of business systems analysis, applications development/implementation, programming, or database administration/analysis may be substituted for the required education on a year-for-year basis (2080 hours paid experience equal one (1) year of education).

  • Option One: I have a bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited college or university in Management Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, Industrial Organizational Psychology, Materials Management or other field closely related to the intent of the class.
  • Option Two: I have four years of full-time paid technical experience in the fields of business systems analysis, applications development/implementation, programming, testing in an enterprise application, database administration/analysis, and/or application and business process support.
  • Option Three: I have four years of full-time, paid experience in Sacramento Area Sewer District service providing user support in technology, system, software/application and legacy troubleshooting, problem resolution, review of business processes and communication of user requirements/problems to a vendor or statewide system.
  • Option Four: I have less than the four (4) years of full-time paid experience described in Option Two or Option Three but have completed accredited college coursework as stated in the note above, and am substituting 30 semester units for every year I am short, AND have attached my transcripts.
  • I do not meet the minimum qualifications for the Information Business Systems Analyst.
