What you'll do
Serve as the crucial link between CarGurus business objectives and technical capabilities of its system through analysis of data and influencing analytics systems. Duties include: engage with stakeholders to collect and document business data and requirements, translating them into specifications in user stories with clear acceptance criteria; define data and analytics processes, identify areas for improvement, and recommend solutions to enhance operational efficiency; create essential technical and business documentation, including application, data flow, sequence diagrams, entity relationship, and integration diagrams; present data and system designs to both internal and external stakeholders for decision making and approval; perform architectural design, requirement design, analysis, and quality assurance; collaborate with various cross-functional stakeholders analyze business processes, gather and document requirements, and design system solutions; collaborate with technical product managers to build out user guides and training materials for end-users; : collaborate with engineers to implement technical solutions to meet business requirements and compliance regulations; collaborate with business stakeholders to document user acceptance testing scenarios and obtain sign-off prior to deployment; assist with testing coordination and documenting defects; and identify industry trends and new releases to proactively identify optimization opportunities and create stakeholder value. Who You Are:
Master's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Engineering, Statistics, Data Science, Business Analytics, or a related field and two (2) years of experience in the job offered or related occupation. Requires two (2) years of experience in each of the following: Programming Languages; Database Query Languages, including SQL or MySQL; Agile, Jira, or Confluence; Salesforce data analysis; Looker or Tableau reporting tools; Data Warehouse design; and Data Management.

The displayed range represents the expected annual base salary / On-Target Earnings (OTE) for this position. On-Target Earnings (OTE) is inclusive of base salary and on-target commission earnings, which applies exclusively to sales roles.
Individual pay within this range is determined by work location and other factors such as job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
This annual base salary forms part of a comprehensive Total Rewards Package. In addition to benefits, this role may qualify for discretionary bonuses/incentives and Restricted Stock Units (RSUs).

$116,000-$145,000 USD
