Position Summary

We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Revenue Cycle Systems Analyst (EPIC HB). In this role, the successful candidate as the Revenue Cycle Systems (RCS) team provides technical expertise and application level support for various hospital revenue cycle software modules including Epic across NYU Langone Health. The Revenue Cycle Systems Analyst is a mid-level position under the direction and supervision of a Lead Revenue Cycle Analyst within the RCS team, responsible for understanding revenue cycle operational workflows and application configuration.

Job Responsibilities
  • Completes tasks to ensure reports, filings and documentation are compliant with regulatory guidelines. Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Automates processes using available technology solutions and bots. Possesses advanced knowledge of Revenue Cycle processes to aid in application build for Operational requests.
  • Contributes ideas and to team members to help in achieving goals or completing tasks. Acts as mentor to entry level analysts and assists them with their system build.
  • Able to work independently without the need for constant supervision, while maintaining open communication channels with a Lead Analyst and/or Application Manager. Proposes recommendations to management to outline project timeframes and direction.
  • Functions as a liaison between Revenue Cycle Operations (RCO), Information Technology (IT), and 3rd Party Systems. Collaborates with vendors to develop innovative system solutions to meet new regulations and operational needs.
  • Uses critical and analytical thinking to perform analysis and system configuration to support hospital billing applications. Provides resolutions for RCO system issues and communicates status updates and corrective measures with end-users.
Minimum Qualifications

To qualify you must have a Bachelor's Degree.
1-2 years of experience in a healthcare or technology related field.
Ability to demonstrate analytical/communication skills, and computer proficiency.
Ability to work within deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelors Degree in an area such as business, finance, technology or related field.
2-3 years of experience in a hospital revenue cycle operations or healthcare technology related field.
Certified in one or more Epic modules, preferably Resolute Hospital Billing/Claims.

Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.
