Description
Supports and maintains customer accounts while serving as the primary point of contact between customers and CDG for billing and statement processing. Responsible for the timely and accurate production of monthly customer statements and reports according to established billing cycles. Provides entry-level software support and assistance to customers, ensuring positive customer experience. Works to establish and maintain organizational standards of excellence, professionalism, responsiveness, and customer service.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities
• Perform database updates that will reflect on customer's statements.
• Collaborating with customers, third party institutions and other team members to resolve billing inconsistencies.
• Creates monthly invoices and billing reports, by customer cycles.
• Interpret and reconcile customer statements against appropriate reports where required.
• Approve bill production and verify accuracy of statements prior to delivery to customer.
• Interacts with programmers, computer operators, support services, and any or all other departments to ensure the accuracy of the final product.
• Periodically train and update customers in billing and billing report interpretation.
• Provide user input to software development staff for program enhancements and modifications.
• Stay informed of industry changes and regulations that impact billing processes and proactively communicate relevant updates to customers.
• Participate in industry meetings, conventions, forums, etc., as well as various marketing/sales efforts as required.
• Must consistently demonstrate professional conduct that fosters teamwork, collaboration, and active participation among team members.
• Work on projects, as needed, that may include technical documentation and quality assurance functions.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support the efficient and effective operation of the department and contribute to the overall success of CDG.
Requirements
Qualifications and Skills
Associate degree in Business, Computer Science or Information Technology preferred. Related curriculum or equivalent experience will be considered.
Minimum 1 year experience with Microsoft Windows, Linux, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Adobe Acrobat, relational databases, and accounting related applications with basic knowledge of modern internet technologies and related hardware and software applications.
Telecommunications experience, preferably in a wholesale billing environment, is strongly preferred.
Must be a collaborative team player with the ability to work independently and effectively with minimal supervision.
Must be willing to work additional hours, including evenings, weekends, and on-call assignments, as needed to support business and customer requirements.
Must be willing to travel and have a valid driver's license with a safe driving record to drive rental vehicles if necessary.
Must be a self-motivated, highly detailed, people-oriented individual with highly developed interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills. This includes an individual who is comfortable making presentations to large or small groups and with extemporaneous speaking when necessary.
Understanding of CDG products and services with knowledge of telecommunications wireline and wireless billing standards.
Must consistently project and maintain a high level of integrity, dependability, and professionalism in all business interactions and relationships, both internally and externally.
