The Department of Computer Science offers a full range of courses and degree programs. Our programs, in addition to the opportunities to develop professional skills through MECOP and PCEP, are designed to provide students with the educational background to achieve a career in the computing industry. With over 800 undergraduate CS majors and almost 200 graduate students, we offer a community to learn, discover, innovate, and share a curriculum based on the application and theoretical foundations of Computer Science.
The Computer Science (CS) department is home to 31 regular faculty members who specialize in a variety of research areas such as computer graphics and vision, computer security, databases, intelligent systems, programming languages, software engineering, open source software, sensor networks, and high performance computing.
Position Summary
The Undergraduate Program and Student Success Coordinator provides comprehensive administration, advising support, communications, and operational management for both the B.S. in Computer Science (CS) and B.S in Artificial Intelligence (AI) undergraduate programs.
This position serves as the primary coordinator for student progression from admission through graduation, ensuring compliance with university and departmental policies while supporting student success, retention, and program growth.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Knowledge and expertise in concepts, principles, and practices of designated
  • professional discipline typically obtained by a Bachelor's degree and 0 to 2 years of
  • professional experience.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree and 2-4 years related experience supporting student success and
  • program management within a university.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with student information systems, degree audit systems, and CRM databases (e.g., Banner, DARS, Slate, Cognos).
  • Intermediate skills in office productivity tools (e.g., MS Excel/Word, Google Suite) and basic website content management system (CMS) updating.

Total Compensation Range & Benefits Statement
Salary is dependent on several factors, and new employees will typically start around the Q1 level to allow for later growth within the salary band. PSU has a structured process for determining starting compensation, taking into account years of related experience, applicable skills, knowledge and abilities, market parity, and internal equity.
The starting annual salary for this position will be between $55,704 and $60,192 but may be negotiated above this rate dependent upon the factors above, the budget of the hiring department, and approval from HR.
