Job Summary
The TCC Skills Lab is seeking a qualified Adjunct Faculty in Cybersecurity to support learners in building foundational cybersecurity knowledge and practical skills aligned with entry-level and upskilling workforce roles. This role emphasizes applied learning, cybersecurity awareness, and hands-on exposure to core security concepts and tools that support workforce readiness and career advancement.
Essential Duties
  • Facilitate instructional sessions covering core cybersecurity concepts, including security principles, risk management, threats, vulnerabilities, and incident response
  • Guide learners through hands-on labs, simulations, or scenarios aligned with real-world cybersecurity challenges
  • Reinforce best practices related to data protection, privacy, and ethical security practices
  • Support learners through coursework, labs, and applied exercises by providing clear feedback, coaching, and guidance
  • Foster a supportive learning environment for adult and career-transitioning learners
  • Facilitate open lab sessions or office hours to provide additional academic support, troubleshooting, and individualized assistance
  • Collaborate with Skills Lab staff and program leadership to ensure instruction aligns with current industry standards and workforce needs
  • Monitor learner engagement and progress in accordance with program expectations

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
  • Practical experience in cybersecurity, IT security, network security, or related roles
  • Strong communication, facilitation, and learner support skills

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting workforce development, noncredit, or short-term credential programs
  • Industry certifications such as CompTIA Security+, Network+
