Join our Team as a Product Electrical Engineering Co-op!
The Role:
We're seeking a motivated Product Electrical Engineer Co-op to join our team in Summer 2027! This co-op offers hands-on experience in Product Engineering in Muscatine, IA, where you'll work on meaningful projects and gain insight into electric forklift problem solving, production support, CAN communication, and Electrical Design. You'll collaborate with the Product Engineering team, as well as mentors and leadership, building skills that will help launch your career!
What You'll Be Doing:
  • Be treated as a self-sufficient entry-level engineer with an assigned mentor for support.
  • Be responsible for troubleshooting, determining solutions, and implementing changes to resolve various design issues that support production, reduce warranty, and/or fulfill customer requests.
  • Work with issues that are typically harnessing, motors & controllers, PCB designs, sensors & encoders, control systems, or electrical-related.
  • Complete the forklift training and acquire your forklift operating license in order to assist you in learning products, testing of prototypes, and determining solution activities.
  • Drive the investigation and resolution of design issues in order to keep production running smoothly.
  • Drive the investigation and implementation of design changes to decrease product cost.
  • Determine root cause and implement corrective actions for parts returned through the warranty process.
  • Review non-conforming material requests to determine usability in production.
  • Design new features to meet market requests.
  • Reproduce, determine root cause, and recommend solutions for field issues to ensure customer satisfaction.

  • Degree Programs: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering
  • GPA Requirement: 2.8 Minimum
