Job description

Farnsworth Group is seeking an Entry-Level Engineer in one of the below posting location. In this role, you will work with experienced engineers on telecommunications and utility projects. This is an excellent opportunity to gain valuable knowledge and experience in the utility engineering industry.
Posting Locations: Frisco, TX, Lisle, IL, St. Louis, MO
What You’ll Do:
  • Support telecommunication and utility related project development
  • Complete site visits including but not limited to surveying, locating, and documenting existing conditions (may include overnight travel depending on job location)
  • Review roadway plans to identify conflicts with existing utilities
  • Design telecommunications and other utility projects using MicroStation, AutoCAD, or other design software
What You’ll Need:
  • BS in Civil or Mechanical Engineering, from an ABET accredited institution
  • 0-3 years of experience
  • Exposure to transportation plans, telecommunications, or utilities a plus
  • Engineer in Training (EIT) certification a plus
  • Computer proficiency with MS Office - Word, Excel, PowerPoint and MS Project
  • Must demonstrate strong written and oral communication skills
  • Must be willing to travel and have a valid driver’s license

  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD and/or MicroStation
