Job description

Job Description:
The Quality Assurance Technician II supports AAON's commitment to delivering high-quality HVAC products by performing inspections, tests, and audits throughout the manufacturing process. This entry-level role ensures that components and finished units meet internal and external standards. The technician works closely with production teams to identify defects and recommend corrective actions. Attention to detail and a strong understanding of quality principles are essential.
Primary Duties
The Quality Assurance Technician II is responsible for executing quality control procedures and supporting continuous improvement efforts across production lines.
Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:
  • Conducting inspections of incoming materials, in-process components, and finished products to ensure compliance with specifications.
  • Documenting inspection results and maintaining accurate records in accordance with company standards.
  • Reporting non-conformances and assisting in root cause analysis and corrective action implementation.
  • Collaborating with production and engineering teams to resolve quality issues and improve processes.
  • Using measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, and multimeters to verify product dimensions and performance.
  • Supporting internal audits and participating in quality training sessions.
  • Ensuring compliance with AAON's quality management system and applicable industry standards.
  • Promoting a culture of quality and accountability on the production floor.

Job Requirements
Education and Experience Requirements:
Requires a high school diploma or GED. Technical training or coursework in quality assurance, manufacturing, or HVAC systems is preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Basic understanding of quality control principles and inspection techniques.
  • Familiarity with mechanical and electrical components used in HVAC systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documents.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Basic computer skills, including data entry and use of Microsoft Office.
