Job description

Position : Quality Inspection Specialist(Entry Level) - Urgent Need
Location : Zelienople, PA
Duration : 12 Months Contract
Total Hours/week :40.00
Work hours are typically 7:30am - 4pm but can be flexible to an 8am - 4:30pm shift
Description:
  • Under the general supervision of the Sr. Quality Engineer, perform electrical, mechanical, and visual inspections on in-process products and finished goods according to documented test and inspection methods.

Essential Job Functions:
  • Perform all Quality Control activities as required to ensure that production plans and objectives are completed. Coordinate with other departments to prioritize inspections and record reviews as appropriate.
  • Assist with resolving quality problems within the inspection department, such as documentation or non-compliance issues
  • Perform QC Incoming, In-Process and Final Inspections as required following written procedures
  • Complete and file quality records including process travelers and non-conforming material reports.
  • Review completed process travelers for accuracy and completeness and perform product documentation final release reviews
  • Maintain the Quality Control Inspection area in a neat and orderly manner
  • Liaise with Service QA and Manufacturing engineers and other involved in production in order to create plans to improve product quality
  • Make suggestions as to how improve the quality control process

Additional Job Functions:
  • Assist Engineering and Quality Assurance as required to perform non-conformance investigations, and process qualifications
  • Assist in performing transfers of product inspection processes from external organizations
  • Other duties as required.

Basic Qualifications:
  • Duties require basic knowledge of inspection/sampling techniques and familiarity with ANSI/ASQ Z1.4
  • Basic familiarity with FDA QSR and/or ISO 9000/ISO 13485 Quality System Requirements
  • Knowledge of electronics assembly and test
  • Knowledge of mechanical and physical inspection techniques (calipers, micrometers, depth gauges, etc.)
  • Demonstrated strong attention to detail and "do it right the first time" attitude

Additional Desirable Qualifications Skills and Knowledge:
  • Basic familiarity with MS Office Products (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Ability to utilize a computer to enter data and prepare reports

Education and/or Experience:
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Technical degree or professional certification preferred
  • At least one year experience performing electro-mechanical inspections in an FDA or ISO regulated environment.

Physical Demands:
  • Ability to lift a 20 lb load from the floor.

Work Environment:
  • Majority of time is spent working in a manufacturing area

Training Requirements:
  • Standard Operating Procedure training will be provided upon hire
