Entry level engineers build their professional knowledge through developing technical deliverables, attending meetings, and visiting project sites, as well as involvement with professional organizations.

While working under the direct supervision of a more senior level engineer, you will:

  • Develop skills to prepare utility plans, specifications, and contract documents.
  • Gain a comprehensive understanding of engineering through projects and challenges.
  • Gain exposure to best practice methods with calculations and other necessary skills.
  • Build your knowledge of the rules and regulations that apply to a variety of project types.
  • Work with CAD, GIS, Office tools and specialty software.
  • Visit work sites during design and construction phases see projects come to life.
  • Learn about the materials, means, and methods contractors use to build infrastructure we design.
  • Enhance your time management, organizational, communication, and team building skills.
  • Develop lifelong writing and research skills through reports, permit applications, etc.
  • Learn how to identify tasks needed to complete an assignment.
  • Understand how we collaborate with clients to improve the communities we serve.
  • We’re looking for candidates with the following qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Environmental Engineering or other related Engineering degree from an accredited college or university.
  • EngineerinTraining certification (or the ability to achieve in 6 months).
