The Professional Services Junior Engineer is responsible for performing wireless site surveys and installation of wireless equipment at customer facilities in locations throughout the country. Travel by car and/or airplane will be required and encompass 50-75% of your time. Prior experience with Wireless Network technologies not required but desired. This is an entry-level role with potential to grow within the team as skills and knowledge are acquired.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Direct interaction with customers on a daily basis.
  • Traveling to customer sites (ability to travel 50%-75% local and nationwide, both by car and airplane).
  • Make necessary travel arrangements and changes as required.
  • Conducting wireless site surveys and completing site analysis.
  • Manage time and schedule during onsite activities.
  • Keep project management personnel informed of progress and potential issues, during and after onsite activities.
  • Authoring site survey reports, and other required documents.
  • Maintain supplied network test equipment; ensuring working order to complete engagements as assigned.
  • Ability to understand diverse wireless network platforms.
  • Ability to understand customer business requirements and tailor a wireless solution to meet their needs.
  • Working knowledge of enterprise-class networking equipment and products, including Cisco routers, switches, access points, and wireless controller hardware.
  • Proficient skills working with Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build and maintain meaningful professional relationships.
  • Polished business communications skills, both oral and written.
  • Outgoing and friendly personality with a customer-focused attitude.
  • Strong attention to detail, initiative, and sense of urgency.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • A good methodical approach to tasks, ability, and interest to learn new technologies.
  • Self-motivated, able to meet deadlines and maintain quality of work under pressure.
  • Comfortable working at heights up to 40 ft.
  • Handy, familiarity with hand tools.
  • Will be required to continue to learn new networking technologies and solutions.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
  • High School diploma is required. 2 or 4 year college degree in Computer Sciences, Electrical Engineering or MIS a plus. 1 to 3 years of experience is required. 
$22 - $30 an hour
