Job description

TransAmerica, a premier IT consulting and technical staffing company, is looking to add an entry level Programmer to our team. The successful candidate must work onsite in Oklahoma City, OK.

Position Overview

The selected candidate will assist the team in analyzing system requirements, developing software solutions, and contributing to the full application development lifecycle. This is an excellent entry-level opportunity for candidates looking to launch their career in software development. No prior experience is required. Candidates must have completed relevant programming courses and maintain a minimum GPA of 3.5 to be considered for this position.

Key Responsibilities

  • Under supervision assist Level II / III Programmers
  • Analyze systems requirements and design specifications, develop diagrams and logic charts
  • Translate detailed design specifications into functional computer programs
  • Test, debug, and refine computer programs to produce required products and deliverables

Highly Desirable Skills

  • Ability to participate in all phases of application development: Planning, Analysis and Design, Programming, Testing
  • Experience modifying existing applications and/or developing new applications
  • Proficiency in developing software code using object-oriented technology, including:
    • C#
    • XML/XSL
    • Microsoft .NET Framework
  • Experience with Oracle relational database structure and design

Required Experience

  • No work experience required This is an entry-level position ideal for entry level candidates or candidates transitioning into the IT field
  • An Associate's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline is required with a minimum grade point average (GPA) of 3.5.
