Trio Ready-Mix A Ralmax Company Victoria, BC

Location - Victoria, BC

Type - Full-time, permanent

Schedule - Mon-Fri with occasional Saturday work

ABOUT TRIO READY-MIX

Trio Ready-Mix is a Victoria-based ready-mix concrete producer and part of the Ralmax Group of Companies. We supply quality concrete to contractors, developers, and homeowners across southern Vancouver Island, backed by modern plant technology and a tight-knit, experienced team.

POSITION OVERVIEW

We are seeking a reliable, hands-on team member for a Dispatch / Operations role at our concrete plant. This is an entry-level opportunity to learn the ready-mix business from the ground up and to grow into coordinating batch and dispatch operations. Working under the Production Supervisor, you will start by loading and batching and progress toward managing the daily flow of trucks and orders, with a path to running dispatch independently.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Dispatch & operations

  • Coordinate the daily flow of mixer trucks to keep deliveries on time and on spec.
  • Learn and operate the computerized dispatch system to schedule and coordinate loading and deliveries.
  • Communicate with drivers, the order desk, and the Production Supervisor, adapting to schedule changes through the day.

Batch plant & loading

  • Load mixer trucks accurately and efficiently.
  • Operate the batch plant to produce concrete to specification, taking over batching from the Production Supervisor through the day.
  • Monitor raw-material levels and report low inventory of aggregates, cement, and admixtures.

Quality & safety

  • Follow quality-control checks and flag any out-of-spec material to the Production Supervisor.
  • Keep the loading area and plant clean, organized, and safe.
  • Follow all safety, environmental, and company procedures.

Growth & development

  • Learn all aspects of plant operations under the Production Supervisor.
  • Progress toward running batch and dispatch independently.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • A strong work ethic, reliability, and a genuine willingness to learn.
  • Comfortable with a dynamic schedule.
  • Mechanical aptitude and comfort working with plant equipment and computer systems.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Able to work outdoors in varying weather and perform physical tasks (standing, climbing, lifting).
  • Valid BC driver's license.
  • Experience in concrete, aggregates, construction, or heavy equipment is an asset (not required).

WHAT WE OFFER

  • Competitive wages - commensurate with experience.
  • Full-time, permanent, year-round work.
  • On-the-job training and a clear path to advancement into batch and dispatch.
  • Extended health and benefits package.
  • A supportive team and a stable, growing company within the Ralmax Group.
