B2Gold is a responsible international gold producer headquartered in Vancouver, Canada. Founded in 2007, today, B2Gold has operating gold mines in Canada, Mali, Namibia and the Philippines, and numerous development and exploration projects in various countries.


Position
IT Administrator


Introduction
Reporting directly to the Director, Information Technology, the IT Administrator provides front-line technical assistance and support to users, troubleshooting software and hardware issues. This position will respond to enquiries, diagnose problems, and guide users through solutions. The idea candidate will need to have excellent communication and problem-solving skills, along with a strong understanding of computer systems and networks.


Location
This is a full-time, in-office position based at B2Gold's Corporate Office in Vancouver, Canada.


Duties & Responsibilities:
Install, image, deploy, configure and support user workstations, laptops and mobile phones;
Perform hardware troubleshooting, initial OS setup and basic networking configuration;
Organize and set up user workplaces;
Respond to IT-related user queries over the helpdesk hot line or email; provide IT support for remote and WFH staff;
Configure user profiles and set up common user services such as email or Internet access;
Install, troubleshoot and configure basic office productivity software and business software;
Perform OS and software upgrades;
Install, configure and troubleshoot office equipment such as printers, projectors, IP phones or multifunction devices;
Provide supplies and consumables to equipment and perform basic maintenance.
Operate the ITSM Service Desk system and the endpoint configuration management database;
Review and update endpoint support documentation; and
Perform other duties as required in support of Company objectives.

Requirements:
Minimum one year experience working a front-line, user-facing IT support position in a business environment;
Post-secondary education in IT, Computer Science, or similar field;
Solid knowledge of Microsoft Windows desktop operating systems deployment, tweaking, troubleshooting and life cycle;
Knowledge of basic enterprise networking concepts relevant to workstation troubleshooting;
Strong interpersonal skills, ability to effectively triage incidents, interview users and see issues through to completion.
Able to work collaboratively in a team environment but also available to work independently with minimum supervision;
Strong attention to detail and accuracy;
Ability to work under pressure with a high level of commitment to meeting deadlines and producing high quality work.

Additional Desired Qualifications:
Experience maintaining Windows desktop operating systems in an enterprise Active Directory environment, including Group Policy troubleshooting and configuration;
Experience with enterprise IT Service Management systems such as OTRS or ServiceNow, knowledge of basic ITIL concepts and documentation practices;
Knowledge of scripting languages such as PowerShell will be a strong asset;
Experience with mass-deployment and enterprise workstation management tools will be an asset;
Any relevant certifications such as CompTIA+, CCNA, ITIL Foundation, etc will be an asset.


Job Demands/Physical Requirements:
This position is based out of our Vancouver head office on a full-time basis;
Able to lift package that is at least 30lbs.

The base salary range for this position is CAD $90,000 - 100,000 per annum, which is the anticipated pay at the time of hire but does not reflect similar future job opportunities. Details of the total compensation package will be shared during the interview process.
