Position Summary

The IT Support Technician is responsible for providing first-line technical support to employees by installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting computer hardware, software, mobile devices, and technology systems. This role ensures employees have reliable technology to perform their jobs while supporting the organization's IT infrastructure, user onboarding, equipment management, and day-to-day technology operations. The IT Support Technician works closely with the Senior IT Technician to resolve more complex issues and support IT projects.

Position Summary

End User Support
  • Serve as the first point of contact for employee technology support requests.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, printer, and connectivity issues.
  • Install, configure, and maintain desktop computers, laptops, mobile devices, monitors, and peripherals.
  • Escalate complex technical issues to the Senior IT Technician as needed.
  • Maintain excellent customer service and communicate effectively with users throughout issue resolution.
  • User Administration
  • Create, modify, and deactivate user accounts in accordance with company policies.
  • Assist with password resets, multifactor authentication (MFA), and access requests.
  • Support employee onboarding by preparing equipment, creating user accounts, and ensuring all technology is ready on the employee's first day.
  • Support employee offboarding by collecting equipment and disabling system access.
  • Hardware & Asset Management
  • Deploy and maintain companyissued laptops, desktops, mobile phones, and tablets.
  • Track IT inventory and maintain accurate asset records.
  • Coordinate equipment repairs, warranty claims, and replacements.
  • Assist with hardware refresh programs.
  • Software Support
  • Install and update approved software applications.
  • Perform operating system updates and routine maintenance.
  • Assist with software licensing and application deployments.
  • Support Microsoft 365 applications including Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, and SharePoint.
  • Infrastructure Support
  • Assist with maintaining printers, conference room technology, and networkconnected devices.
  • Help monitor system backups and basic network connectivity.
  • Support WiFi troubleshooting and basic network issues.
  • Assist the Senior IT Technician with infrastructure upgrades and maintenance activities.
  • Qualifications

    Education
  • Associate's degree in information technology, Computer Science, or related field preferred.
  • Equivalent technical training or relevant work experience will be considered.
