The Surrey, a Corinthia Hotel, is seeking an IT Manager to oversee all aspects of the hotel’s information technology function, including systems, infrastructure, and security.


Summary of Responsibilities

  • Responsible for IT hardware and software operations, maintenance, contracting, and supervision.
  • Coordinate with upper management and the Head of Technology on new computer system developments and software.
  • Manage, plan, Co-ordinate & supervise software & hardware installations and configuration.
  • Involved in designing and setting up of structured network inside the hotel environment.
  • Research, develop and implement new projects geared toward upgrading the hotel's network, information, and computer security systems.
  • Lead and support the hotel daily operations on all aspects of MIS.
  • Assist with the procurement of IT hardware and software for the hotel.
  • Effect re-training, system fine tuning etc. in order to ensure that IT systems are utilized properly and maximum benefit is realized.
  • Oversee network and data security issues within the hotel.


Requirements:

Skills and Qualifications

  • Hospitality, Travel or Tourism experience in a luxury environment
  • Minimum of 3 Years of experience in a managerial role.
  • Skills in project planning and delivery
  • Good understanding and technical knowledge of current network and PC operating systems, hardware, protocols, and standards.
  • Experience with systems design and development from business requirements analysis through to day-to-day management.
  • Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Highly self-motivated, self-directed, and attentive to detail.
