The IT Project Manager provides technical support, installs and maintains hardware and software, manages networks, and troubleshoots computer issues for individuals and organizations. Key responsibilities include setting up and repairing computer systems, confirming network functionality, implementing security measures, and assisting users with technical problems. The role requires strong troubleshooting skills and a deep understanding of various operating systems and IT tools. The IT Project Manager performs all work on-site and must operate without government supervision while maintaining strict adherence to government information security requirements.

Required Experience & Skills

  • The candidate must demonstrate at least one (1) year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level, or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate analyzing and evaluating Information Technology (IT) network systems โ€” including performance, security, and cost โ€” to develop plans and designs for network modification and enhancement and recommend solutions to enterprise IT requirements.
  • Key responsibilities include providing first-level support for hardware, software, and connectivity problems; installing, configuring, and maintaining computer systems, software, Local Area Networks (LAN)/Wide Area Networks (WAN), and servers; setting up, repairing, and performing minor repairs on hardware and installing and upgrading software, applications, and peripherals; diagnosing and resolving technical issues, performing data recovery, and conducting regular maintenance; implementing security protocols, managing user access, and maintaining data integrity and disaster recovery plans; and training employees on how to use new software, hardware, and network systems effectively.
  • All IT employees must possess and maintain a current Information Assurance (IA) Level I Certification during the execution of this contract.

Preferred Experience & Skills

  • Experience supporting IT systems in federal government environments.
  • Hands-on experience with enterprise network administration, cybersecurity frameworks, and asset management.
  • CompTIA Security+ certification or equivalent.

Required Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field; or an Associate's degree with a minimum of three (3) years of equivalent professional IT experience.

Preferred Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or Computer Science. Industry certifications such as CompTIA Network+, CompTIA Security+, Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA), or Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA).
