Job description

We are looking for another dedicated person to join us. We have an immediate opening for a full time Information Systems Supervisor at our headquarters in Santa Maria, CA. If you have a passion for excellence and would like to join one of Santa Barbara County's top employers then we'd like to talk to you.
The Information Systems Supervisor is responsible for managing the Information Systems personnel, and for leading or assisting in the planning, implementation, and introduction of projects for new systems and technologies. Other duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Identifies existing skills, roles, and responsibilities of each employee.
  • Identifies all projects, prioritizes them, sets timelines, and holds regular meetings.
  • Leads planning and/or implementation of select projects. May participate in the design and/or testing phases.
  • Presents oral and written reports defining plans, problems, and resolutions to appropriate levels of management.
  • Creates and maintains comprehensive project documentation.

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline and three years of experience in complex systems design, programming and systems software and support is required. Requires knowledge of programming languages and operating systems; current equipment and technologies in use; Unix system administration, enterprise backup and recovery procedures, and system performance monitoring tools; Oracle and MS SQL database administration; effective project management techniques; principles and practices of effective management and supervision.
