Good mid-tier ability to make connections from front end to back end data sources and applications (they use mostly restful services and JSP for this)
Solid web skills with HTML, XML, JavaScript
Insurance background is a plus
Most of the work is enhancements and refinements on existing applications.
Job Description
We are seeking object-oriented application development professionals for multi-tier application development and support.
The selected individual will have an opportunity to:
Contribute in a highly dynamic, collaborative and progressive environment
Deliver services in response to high-profile corporate objectives
Develop Java applications and services built on JBoss and Linux utilizing XML based technologies, relational databases, open source frameworks, and service based methodologies
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree with a major in computer information systems or engineering
Object-oriented development education
Experience with Java SE
Excellent communication skills
Additional consideration will be given to those candidates with:
Demonstrated ability to learn and apply new/evolving technologies
