Job description

Overview

This position supports the company’s efforts in analyzing capital markets, tracking origination activity, supporting mortgage pricing operations, and purchasing assets through the correspondent bulk mandatory desk. The analyst role will also be responsible for communicating capital markets initiatives to other functional business groups.

This position will be based in our office located on Morehead Square Drive in Charlotte, NC, and will require attendance five days per week. We offer a competitive salary, an annual bonus, a 401(k) company match, and comprehensive medical benefits starting on day one. 


Responsibilities
  • Prepare and publish pricing rate sheets for all mortgage origination channels
  • Coordinate with external pricing engines to validate pricing on client portals
  • Participate in seller auctions to acquire mortgage assets through the Bulk Mandatory Desk
  • Analyze pricing trends and bond performance in mortgage capital markets, then strategize pricing enhancements based on the current market environment
  • Aggregate data and analyze origination activity to optimize volume and profitability
  • Develop operational efficiencies to enhance business process performance
  • Communicate Capital Markets initiatives to other internal business groups to promote transparency throughout the organization
  • Perform ad hoc analytical requests and research projects for internal business groups
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of product guidelines, industry trends, and events
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree related to Business, Economics, Data Analytics, or Computer Information Systems preferred
  • 0-1 year of relevant experience in the capital markets or financial services industry
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Excel
  • Programming and Data Visualization skills preferred (VBA, SQL, R, Tableau, Power BI, CAS)
