Job description

We are immediately hiring for a couple of Entry-Level Specimen Processor roles here in Columbus. These are career opportunities that will have room for growth long-term!
The shifts will most likely be 3rd shift (overnight), but we are still confirming specifics. Hours will most be 11:30pm - 8am with 1-2 hours of daily overtime and rotating weekends.
Description
These roles are helping to process incoming medical specimens/samples that need to be tested. You will mostly be on your feet and moving around in these positions as you input their information into the system and sort and organize them to get setup for testing.

  • Primary duties will include scanning samples into the system, performing data entry, processing and sorting samples, and packaging them up in the laboratory
  • Prepare laboratory specimens for analysis
  • Research, troubleshoot and resolve customer and specimen problems
  • Send test requests to proper location and release test results
  • Assist clients with any specimen related requests or inquires
  • Process specimens to be sent out to additional facilities
  • Provide support to various areas of the laboratory
  • Perform sample sorting, racking and retrieving
  • Prepare record logs in a timely and efficient manner
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment
Qualifications:
  • MUST have at least a High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent
  • MUST have reliable transportation. Attendance is extremely important because we are responsible for making sure patients are getting their medical results.
  • Must have reliable and consistent work history, but can come from a variety of industries.
  • Must have basic computer skills

The pay range for this position is $20.41 - $20.41/hr.
