About the Role

The QA/QC Technician I is an entry-level position responsible for performing basic quality control and testing tasks under close supervision. This role focuses on learning foundational skills in electrical testing, documentation, and adherence to established procedures. 


What You Will Do (Essential Functions):

  • Assist quality and test technicians with daily operations, preparation, and basic test execution under direct supervision.
  • Learn and use basic hand tools and entry-level test equipment safely and proficiently.
  • Assist with supervised testing of industrial electrical equipment, including lower-voltage systems such as 24VDC.
  • Perform basic product function tests as instructed.
  • Train on electrical testing tools, including Fluke multimeters, with hands-on supervision.
  • Enter inspection and testing data accurately in required documentation systems.
  • Support senior technicians with QC hold points and basic identification of quality issues or non-conformances.
  • Use basic computer applications, including data-entry and time-entry systems.
  • Travel to manufacturing locations as needed for QC observation and training.
  • Maintain good housekeeping practices and a safe, organized work area.
  • Follow company standards, policies, procedures, regulatory requirements, and required safety training expectations.
  • Demonstrate effective time management, professional conduct, adaptability, and respectful working relationships.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

What You Bring (Skills, Abilities, Experience):

  • A High School Diploma or G.E.D. is preferred but not required.
  • 0-1 years troubleshooting PLCs, VFDs, power, and control systems.
  • 0-1 years troubleshooting mechanical and pumping systems
  • 0-1 years in quality control.
  • Must possess the ability to interact effectively with all levels of personnel, both hourly and management, in a team environment.
  • Must work well with others in a team-oriented environment.
  • Must meet deadlines while working safely and producing a quality product.
  • Ability to work flexible hours including overtime.
  • Must adhere to the Company’s attendance policy.

Work Environment
Work is performed in an uncontrolled atmosphere. Exposure to harsh conditions—such as dust, fumes, chemicals, hazardous materials, noise, and varying weather and temperatures—for short periods is possible. All employees are required to follow safety standards and wear all personal protective equipment in designated areas.

Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to walk, stand, use hands and fingers, grip, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk and hear. The ability to lift and carry up to 75 lbs. regularly is required. Exposure to moving parts and electricity that require safety protocols.
