Our teams work with public and private sector clients on diverse range of civil infrastructure projects including municipal roadways, linear infrastructure, drainage and hydrology, water/wastewater systems, and stormwater management.

We are seeking candidates who are interested in working with our Municipal Infrastrastructure and Roads team based out of our Barrie Office.

What You’ll Do

You’ll be part of a collaborative team that values initiative, curiosity, and follow-through, key responsibilities include:

  • Producing detailed design drawings in AutoCAD Civil3D at various stages of the project – preliminary, detailed designs, and tenders for municipal infrastructure and roads.
  • Building and refining complex 3D corridor model
  • Supporting engineers in designing roadway and underground pipe networks that meet municipal and regulatory standards
  • Assisting with design calculations, quantity take-offs, and cost estimates.
  • Assisting with preparing municipal special provisions, schedule of items, and tender documents.
  • Supporting contract administrators and construction inspectors as needed during construction.
  • Performing other duties as assigned.

 What You Bring

  • A diploma in Civil Technology or Computer Drafting (AutoCAD/Civil 3D), or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in municipal infrastructure design and construction.
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D
  • Strong design skills and a passion for precision and creativity.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, SharePoint) and PDF editing tools.
  • Effective communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
  • High attention to detail and commitment to standards.
  • A valid Class G driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle

Nice to Have

  • Progress toward OACETT certification.
  • Construction site inspection or field experience.

Salary Range: $65,000 - $80,000

The final compensation offered will be based on factors such as relevant experience, skills, internal equity, and market conditions.
