Job description

Job Summary:

CORYS Inc. seeks a  Mechanical or equivalent engineer to join its team in Jacksonville, FL. This is a temporary, full-time entry-level position working in our nuclear power simulation group.

Job Duties:

As the successful candidate, you will utilize your knowledge of fluid dynamics, thermodynamics, and computational fluid dynamics (CFD) to develop, analyze, and maintain software models of fluid systems using CORYS’ proprietary model development environment.

Your excellent interpersonal skills will allow you to work in a team environment and establish a climate of confidence, leading to the success of your projects.  You are able to analyze complex problems and reach conclusions on how to move forward with solutions. You are autonomous, organized, and rigorous.  You have an understanding of the importance of customer relationships. Short-term travel to customer locations will be required to attend project meetings and to support the delivery and testing of our products and services.

Qualification & Skills:

- B.S. Nuclear or Mechanical Engineering, Physics, or related discipline

- Strong academic background in thermo-dynamics, fluid dynamics, and heat transfer. Experience with numerical methods related to mathematical modeling.

- Experience in the use of C++ and FORTRAN

- Excellent computer skills in the Windows OS environment

- Ability to work in alignment with an engineering management structure and follow engineering best practices.

- Excellent organizational skills and a strong work ethic, allowing for the ability to meet deadlines and achieve company goals and objectives.

- A team player mentality with the ability to work within a diverse collaborative environment

- Proficient in English usage for oral and written technical communications.

- You must be authorized to work in the U.S.
