Job description

U.S. Citizenship is Required. Ability to qualify for a US Department of Defense Top Secret security clearance required. Candidate must be SAP and SCI program eligible.
Toyon is seeking a Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) Analyst to join a team in modeling reentry and hypersonic bodies. This position requires a strong background in fluid dynamics and numerical methods. The CFD Analyst will be responsible for providing high-quality analysis to inform important customer decisions.
Responsibilities:
  • Use commercial and Toyon developed CFD codes to build grids, perform simulations, and analyze results
  • Develop and automate analysis workflows using Python to enhance efficiency and accuracy
  • Compile and present analysis results
  • Work in a collaborative environment to improve modeling capabilities

Requirements
  • Ph.D. or M.S. in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Physics, or a related field with a focus on computational modeling
  • 3 or more years of relevant technical experience (thesis work included)
  • Fundamental understanding of fluid dynamics and numerical methods for ODEs and PDEs
  • Strong proficiency in Python or MATLAB for simulation automation and data analysis
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively

The annual pay range for the Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) Analyst position is $130,000 to $210,000.
The posted pay range values provide the candidate with guidance on annual base compensation for the position, at a full time level of effort, exclusive of overtime, bonus, and benefits-related compensation, over a range of qualifications that may fit hiring objectives.
