Job Details:

SUMMARY:

Tyson Foods is seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Commodity Analyst to join the Commodity Trading team. The Commodity Analyst will be responsible for monitoring, analyzing, and reporting on commodity markets and risk management positions to support strategic decision-making. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of commodity markets, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to communicate complex information effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze and review financial data, presenting findings to management.
  • Coordinate with multiple groups to ensure timely and accurate information flow.
  • Perform daily commodity coverage/exposure reporting and provide commentary.
  • Support financial trading analytics and reporting in Enterprise systems.
  • Assist the Commodity Trading & Risk Management team with P&L reporting, hedge strategy development, quantitative risk analysis, and trade execution/reporting for various commodity markets.

REQUIREMENTS:

Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field is preferred.

Experience: 1+ years' experience in related field with some knowledge of commodity markets preferred.

Computer Skills: Strong computer skills required: experience in Excel is required; experience with trading platforms and market data systems is preferred.

Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner.

Special Skills: Strong analytical and quantitative skills. Attention to detail and accuracy in data analysis and reporting. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically. Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple workstreams simultaneously.

Travel: Limited travel required.
