Description
Mini-Circuits designs, manufactures and distributes integrated circuits, modules, and sub-systems for high-performance radio frequency (RF) and microwave applications. Our products are also used in detection, measurement, and imaging applications, including military communication, guidance, and electronic countermeasure systems, commercial, scientific, military land, sea, and aircraft; automotive systems, medical systems, and industrial test equipment.
Mini-Circuits sells its products to over 20,000 customers globally through our direct sales force, applications engineering staff, and sales representatives, as well as through our extensive website.
Position Summary:
The Level 2 Electro-Mechanical Inspector performs electrical and mechanical inspection of materials required for manufacturing.
Salary range: $23 - $25//hr.
Job Function:
  • Read assembly & mechanical drawings to determine the specific requirement.
  • Perform mechanical and electrical inspection of various items using a vision measuring system and hand tools such as calipers, micrometers, force gauges, etc., and electrical equipment such as an LCR meter and multimeter.
  • Items to be inspected include PC boards, switches, cores, connectors, resistors, chip capacitors, enclosures and covers, cables, amplifiers, machined parts & packaging materials, etc. as per assembly drawings and specific criteria under supervision.
  • Some visual inspection may be required using a microscope and magnifying lamp.
  • Perform simple tests such as resistance to solvents, DC continuity, and material composition using an XRF machine.
  • Identify and segregate defective units/materials.
  • Document inspection results in the computer.
  • Identify potential problems and notify the team leader as necessary.
  • To work in accordance with all company procedures.

Qualifications:
  • Associate's degree with concentration in an electrical or mechanical engineering specialty required
  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical or electrical engineering preferred.
  • 1-2 years of experience in a related field, must be familiar with electro-mechanical inspection
  • Ability to read, write, and verbally communicate in English.
  • Ability to use basic mechanical and electrical measuring instruments, such as calipers, micrometers, multimeters, microscopes, and magnifying lamps.
  • Ability to read mechanical and assembly drawings.
  • Basic computer skills required (MS Word, Outlook, Excel).
  • Ability to distinguish colors in accordance with Ishihara Test for Color Blindness.
  • In accordance with D2-HT00-63, General Incoming Inspection Procedure.
  • Based on performance as evaluated by the supervisor/manager. D4-HT00-30 New Member Verification Form for Incoming Inspection.
