Staff enrolled in this one-year internship program will be trained to perform entry level duties under direct supervision during their rotation throughout the various departments within CMCF. Hands on training will occur in each of the CMCF labs: Stem Cell Transplant Lab, Novel Cell Therapy Lab, Cellular Therapy Testing Lab and Pasquarello Tissue Bank and Lab. The CMCF Cell Therapy Interns will participates in all aspects, didactics, classroom lectures and assignments, practice laboratory exercises, and hands on laboratory rotations as assigned during the one-year Cell Therapy GxP Specialist Program. In addition to the manufacturing and testing laboratory rotations, interns will spend time assisting and learning about quality systems and regulatory requirements, including donor eligibility and suitability while working within the Quality Assurance Department.
Interns will be expected to perform basic tasks as would an entry level specialist during the years internship.
Completion of the program is not a guarantee of permanent hire by Dana-Farber Cancer Institute but should one be available they would be given a high priority.

To gain a working knowledge of cGMP and cGTP regulations, and relevant accreditation standards for donor assessments, cell manufacturing and recipient follow-up.
To obtain a working knowledge of the science behind bone marrow transplant, immunotherapy and regenerative medicine
Obtain a working knowledge of how to assess cell therapy products safety, purity, and potency by testing.
